Edwardian House Refurbishment
The brief for this project completed in December 2011 was for the complete refurbishment of an unspoilt Edwardian large semi-detached house for a young professional couple with a growing family. The house was stripped out, an Orangery extension was designed and added and the roof space was changed to form a master bedroom suite with storage in eaves cupboards. The Sitting Room and Dining Room were inter-connected by a new opening with double doors and the Dining Room/Library was formed with fitted library shelving made by a local craftsman. A muted palette was chosen for the colour scheme throughout so the spaces flow easily into each other, the interiors being brought to life with stunning fabrics and finishes. |

Suffolk Country House
The owners of this superb former rectory had a superb collection of antique furniture to work around so each room was a challenge to design to set off the pieces to maximum effect. A new kitchen extension was added to the house which gave us the opportunity to design a bespoke kitchen to suit a passionate chef. New painted timber panelling was designed for the master bedroom and all the bathrooms were redesigned and refitted. The complete house was redecorated and refitted with soft furnishings throughout. This project was a Purcell Miller Tritton contract where Christine is Head of Interiors. |

17th Century House
This riverside house was totally refurbished to restore the original structure whilst also providing modern bathroom facilities into a Listed house.
We did this by adding panelling to hide the pipework without having to chase into the walls therefore making everything removable and separate from the structure. In the kitchen the original fire surround was reused to form a surround above the new Aga. |

North Norfolk Cottage
The brief for this country cottage was for a total redecoration, new bespoke sofas, dining chairs, lamps and lighting generally, with new curtains and blinds throughout as well as improvements to the bathrooms and kitchen. Low energy lighting was installed which not only improved the lighting levels but also keeps the running costs down. In the Dining Room mismatched antique chairs were sourced, painted and seat covers made. For the Sitting Room we designed a bespoke corner sofa to fit the room together with new curtains, cushions and mesh roller blinds which mask the room from outside but lets the owners inside see out when the blinds are down. Lamps and bathroom cabinets were designed in conjunction with a local artist from driftwood which disguises a cabinet as a piece of art. |

A Norfolk Farmhouse Extension
Christine was asked to design an extension to a lovely Norfolk red brick farmhouse to provide an extension to the existing kitchen to give more space for dining and general living space open to the kitchen. Christine designed a new Orangery extension around the existing mature box hedging so that it fitted neatly into the garden. It gives views to three sides across the garden whilst allowing light to flood into the enlarged kitchen/dining/living space. Christine applied for Planning Permission, Building Regulations approval and prepared full tender documents for the building work as well as sourcing fabrics for chair covers etc. |
